The country your fundraiser's funds go to is chosen when you create the fundraiser, and it can't be changed afterward. If the wrong country was selected, you'll need to create a new fundraiser with the correct one. Here's why the country is locked and exactly what to do.
When you create a fundraiser, you choose the country where the funds will be received under Where will the campaign funds be going? That choice sets which currencies and bank accounts are eligible to receive transfers, so it's locked once the fundraiser is created. Changing it would break the connection between your fundraiser and a valid bank account in the right country.
If your fundraiser has the wrong country, create a new fundraiser and select the correct country during setup. Before you start, check the Countries Supported on GiveSendGo list to confirm your country is available.
If your original fundraiser has already received donations, don't start over before reaching out. Contact Us with your fundraiser link and we'll help you move forward the right way.
If the recipient's country isn't on the supported list, you can designate a trusted individual in a supported country to receive the funds on your behalf and pass them along to you outside GiveSendGo. Whoever receives the funds must be 18 or older, live in the fundraiser's country, and have a bank account in that country.
