How to Format Your Fundraiser Story on GiveSendGo

Formatting Your Fundraiser Story

Your fundraiser story is one of the most important parts of your GiveSendGo page. A clear, well-structured story helps givers understand your need, connect with your cause, and feel confident supporting you.

Accessing Your Story Editor

To access your story editor, go to your fundraiser's Dashboard, select Edit Campaign, and scroll to the Campaign Story field.
InfoYour story must be at least 200 characters and no more than 10,000 characters.

Formatting Tools

The story editor toolbar gives you the following options:
  1. Style: switch between Normal body text and Heading to introduce a new section
  2. Bold, Italic, Underline: emphasize key details; use sparingly
  3. Text Color: change the color of selected text
  4. Align: align text left, center, or right; left alignment works best for most fundraisers
  5. Lists: organize information into number or bullet point lists
  6. Clear Formatting: reset selected text to default settings

Keep It Clear and Easy to Read

Formatting should support your story, not distract from it. Break up long paragraphs, use headings to separate sections, and use lists for things like specific expenses, key updates, or prayer requests. Avoid over-formatting — too much bold or too many headings can make your story harder to follow.
