How to Change the Recipient of Your GiveSendGo Fundraiser

Changing Your Fundraiser Recipient on GiveSendGo

The process for changing your fundraiser recipient depends on whether the recipient has accepted the invitation. If the invitation is still pending, you can update the recipient from your dashboard. If the recipient has already accepted, you'll need to contact support.

If the Recipient Has Not Yet Accepted

If the recipient hasn't accepted their invitation yet, you can update their details directly. See Editing Recipient Information.

If the Recipient Has Already Accepted

Once a recipient has accepted their invitation, changes must be handled by our support team.

Contact Us and include:

  • The name or link of your fundraiser
  • The reason for the change

What Happens After You Contact Us

Our team will review your request. If the current recipient has already completed identity verification, additional confirmation may be required before any changes are made. Depending on the situation, we may:

  • Request confirmation from the existing recipient
  • Guide you through resetting the recipient
  • Send an invitation to the new recipient

Important Notes

Don't request fundraiser deletion as a way to reset the recipient. Deletion still requires confirmation from the current recipient, so it isn't a workaround.

Double-check recipient details before sending an invitation. Confirming the name and email address upfront avoids delays that require manual fixes. Make sure the name you enter matches the recipient's legal name, as it will be used during identity verification.
