Ready to access your funds? Here's how to make a transfer (also known as a payout), whether you're doing it manually or setting up automatic transfers.
Before You Start
Three things need to be in place before you can make a transfer:
- You must be the fundraiser recipient. Only the recipient can initiate a transfer. If you're the organizer but not the recipient, you'll need to be added as the recipient first, or have the recipient make the transfer.
- Your fundraiser must be verified. If you're still seeing the recipient setup flow instead of your transfer options in the Transfers tab, verification is still in progress. This typically takes 1β2 business days.
- Your funds must be eligible. Your first donation becomes available 5 days after it's received. After that, donations are added to your available balance on a 3-day rolling basis.
If all three are in place, you're ready. For a full explanation of how timing, minimums, and fees work, see How Transfers Work on GiveSendGo.
How to Make a Manual Transfer
A manual transfer sends your full available balance to your connected bank account.
- Log in to your GiveSendGo account
- Go to My Campaigns and open the fundraiser you want to manage
- Go to the Transfers tab
- Click Request Manual Payout
Once submitted, you'll receive a confirmation email. Funds typically arrive within 2β3 business days.
If you don't see the Request Manual Payout button, your donations may still be in the processing window. Check back once the 3-day processing period has passed. If the button still doesn't appear after that, Contact Us with your fundraiser link and we'll take a look.
You must wait 24 hours after a previous manual transfer is approved before submitting another one.
How to Set Up Automatic Transfers
Automatic transfers send your available balance to your bank on a recurring schedule, with no action needed each time.
- Log in to your GiveSendGo account
- Go to My Campaigns and open the fundraiser you want to manage
- Go to the Transfers tab
- Click the edit icon next to Payout Frequency
- In the Payout Preferences panel, select Automated request
- Choose your frequency: Weekly, Bi-weekly, or Monthly
- Click Save
Your first automatic transfer fires at the start of your next scheduled cycle. Switching to automatic mode takes effect immediately, but the first transfer goes out at the beginning of the next interval, not the same day you switch.
Partial Transfers
By default, a manual transfer sends your entire available balance. If you need to withdraw only part of your balance, Contact Us and include:
- Your fundraiser link
- The specific amount you want to transfer
We'll process the partial amount instead of your full balance.
