GiveSendGo doesn't charge a platform fee. No cut of what you raise goes to us. Here's exactly what gets deducted and why.
GiveSendGo charges $0 in platform fees. We're funded by optional tips from givers and fundraiser organizers who choose to support us, not by taking a percentage of donations.
Every donation runs through our payment processing partner, and that's where fees come from. The rate depends on where your fundraiser's recipient is located.
US-based fundraisers: 2.7% + $0.30 per donation
Non-US-based fundraisers: 3.5% + $0.30 per donation
These fees are deducted from each donation before it reaches your fundraiser balance.
Example: On a $100 donation to a US-based fundraiser, $97.00 reaches your fundraiser. ($100 − $2.70 − $0.30 = $97.00)
Non-USD fundraisers may incur additional currency exchange fees as determined by our payment processor. These are in addition to the 3.5% + $0.30 processing fee above.
During giving and fundraiser creation, you'll have the option to add an optional tip to GiveSendGo. Tips go toward operational costs and mission outreach, and they're never required.
One thing to know: if you set a tip percentage at fundraiser creation, that amount is added on top of each donation and shown to givers at checkout. Some givers may read it as a platform fee, and some organizers forget they set it. You can review or adjust your tip setting at any time from your fundraiser Settings.
