How to Manually Add an Offline Donation to Your Campaign
If
you’ve received a gift outside of GiveSendGo for the same purpose as
your campaign—whether by cash, check, or another offline method—you
don’t need to make a donation to your campaign on the giver’s behalf. You'll have to pay processing fees that will unnecessarily eat into the funds
you've raised while taking some of your precious time!
Instead, you can add an Offline Donations to your campaign. Doing so ensures your campaign
reflects all of your fundraising activity, whether made online directly to your campaign or and given to you offline. It’s the
simplest way to keep your campaign totals accurate while honoring
support received outside the platform.
Steps to Enter an Offline Donation
To manually add an offline donation to your campaign:
- Log in to your GiveSendGo account
- Open your Campaign Dashboard
- Click Manage Campaign from the left-hand menu
- Select Offline Donations toward the bottom of the dropdown list
- Enter the details of the donation received
- Click Save
Once
added, the offline donation will appear in your campaign’s totals and
giver reports, just like any online donation—but without triggering an
automatic email receipt.
