How to Request a Donation Refund on GiveSendGo

Requesting a Refund on GiveSendGo

Every donation on GiveSendGo represents generosity and trust. Donations are generally considered final so fundraiser organizers and recipients can move forward with confidence, but we understand that situations arise where a refund may be appropriate.

How to Request a Refund

If you believe a donation was made in error, in the wrong amount, or without your authorization, Contact Us and include:

  • Your name
  • The email address used to make the donation
  • The donation number (found in your receipt email)
  • A brief explanation of why you're requesting a refund

Our team will review your request and follow up with next steps.

Refund Timeline

After a refund is initiated, the request is submitted to your bank or card issuer. The refund typically appears as a credit on your original payment method within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.

If a refund is issued shortly after the original charge, you may see it as a reversal — the original charge drops off your statement instead of appearing as a separate credit.

If the refund cannot be processed by your bank, the funds are returned to GiveSendGo and may take up to 30 days to reissue from the original refund request.

Didn't Request a Refund but Received One?

If you received an unexpected refund you didn't request, see Unexpected Refund from GiveSendGo to understand why it may have happened.
