Every fundraiser on GiveSendGo goes through a verification process before funds can be transferred. This protects givers and keeps the platform trustworthy for everyone.
What We Verify
Fundraiser verification covers three things:
Fundraiser content and purpose We confirm the fundraiser is clear, honest, and compliant with our Terms of Service. Fundraisers that lack transparency or don't explain how funds will be used may require updates before approval.
Recipient identity The person receiving funds must complete identity verification through our secure payment partner. This is a standard financial industry requirement and cannot be waived.
Bank account setup The recipient must connect a valid bank account in their country before funds can be transferred. Verification cannot be completed without this step.
How Long Does It Take?
Most fundraisers are reviewed within 1-2 business days of the recipient uploading their ID or the fundraiser receiving its first donation, whichever comes later. If your fundraiser has not received any donations yet, review will not begin until one comes in.
If we need additional information, we'll email you at the address associated with your account. Check your spam folder if you're expecting a response.
What You Can Do to Keep Things Moving
- Add a recipient as soon as possible. Verification can't begin until a recipient is connected. Go to My Campaigns, open your fundraiser, and click the Transfers tab to add a recipient. You can also use the Set up transfers card on the Dashboard.
- Check your email. Verification emails come from support@givesendgo.com. Check spam if you haven't seen anything.
- Complete all required steps. Incomplete identity verification or a missing bank account will delay your fundraiser's ability to transfer funds.
If your fundraiser has been pending for more than 3 business days and you haven't heard from us, Contact Us with your fundraiser link.
