Your campaign’s custom URL is more than just a link—it’s part of your message and a key way how givers find and remember your campaign. Whether you want to update your current custom URL or transfer one to a new campaign, we’ll walk you through exactly how to do it.
Updating the Custom URL for an Existing Campaign
Want to change the current custom URL on your campaign? Click the Contact Us button at the bottom of this article to let us know. When you do, be sure to include:
- The current campaign URL
- The new custom URL you'd like to use
We'll make the update on your behalf and confirm with you once it's complete.
Applying an Existing Custom URL to a New Campaign
Need to use a custom URL you already have on a different campaign? No problem—we can help you move it over. Here’s what to do:
Step 1: Set Up Your New Campaign
Go ahead and create your new campaign as usual. When setting it up, leave the custom URL field empty.
Step 2: Reach Out to Our Team
Once your new campaign is live, click Contact Us below and let us know. When you do, let us know you want to transfer an existing custom URL to a new campaign. Include the actual URL, as well as the title of your new campaign.
Step 3: We’ll Make the Switch
We'll free up the original custom URL from your old campaign. Then, we’ll assign it to your new campaign and confirm once it’s ready.
Things to Keep in Mind
Do not delete the old campaign before the transfer is complete. If a campaign is deleted, the custom URL will be frozen for 15 days and unavailable to use immediately. If you’re unsure about any part of the process, just click Contact Us and our team will be happy to assist.
