Important: GiveSendGo Is Not a 501(c)(3)

GiveSendGo is not a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. As a result, donations made to most campaigns on our platform are not automatically tax-deductible. If your campaign represents a verified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, you are responsible for communicating your tax-exempt status directly to your givers.

Sharing Your 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Information with Givers

You can add your nonprofit details to a custom thank-you message, which is automatically sent to givers after each donation. We recommend you include:
  1. A personal thank you
  2. A statement confirming your 501(c)(3) nonprofit status
  3. Your organization’s full legal name
  4. Your Tax ID (EIN)
  5. A statement clarifying the tax-deductible portion of the donation
  6. A note that any optional tip to GiveSendGo is not tax-deductible

No. The donation receipt GiveSendGo sends to givers immediately after they donate cannot be customized. Any additional tax-related language must be communicated elsewhere.

We verify EINs for business/organization recipients as part of our verification process, but do not independently validate 501(c)(3) nonprofit status. Nonprofit recipients are responsible for ensuring their tax-exempt information is accurate and compliant.
