Set Up a Custom Thank You Message for Givers

Every gift deserves a personal acknowledgment. You can create a custom thank-you message that is automatically emailed to givers after they donate, sent in addition to the standard donation receipt.

Add or Edit Your Custom Thank You Message

  1. Log in to your GiveSendGo account
  2. Open your Fundraiser Dashboard
  3. Click Settings
  4. Toggle on Send custom message to givers
  5. Write your message in the Message Content field
  6. Click Save Message

To edit an existing message, click Edit Message to Givers next to the toggle—you don't need to turn the toggle off and on again.
Your message can be up to 5,000 characters and supports basic text formatting. Use the Insert tag buttons to personalize your message with details like the donor's name or the amount they gave. These populate automatically when the email is sent.

Writing Your Thank You Message

When drafting your message, keep it concise, express your appreciation clearly, and consider sharing how the funds will support your fundraiser.
