How to Edit Your GiveSendGo Campaign Story, Media, and Donation Goal

Modified on Wed, Apr 23 at 12:05 AM

Editing your campaign on GiveSendGo is straightforward, allowing you to update key details as your preferences or circumstances change. Whether you want to adjust the campaign title, story, fundraising goal, or the Created By name, you can easily make these changes to keep your campaign fresh and relevant. Follow these steps to make your updates.

Updating Your Goal Amount

Your campaign goal is an important part of your fundraising strategy. Whether you need to adjust it based on progress or change your target, it's simple to update. Here’s how to revise your goal amount:

  • Log into your GiveSendGo account

  • Open the campaign dashboard for the campaign you want to update

  • Click on Manage Campaign

  • Select Campaign Edit

  • Adjust the amount or goal type on Basics that you'll be brought to based on your progress or needs

  • Hit Finished to update your goal

Editing Your Campaign Title and Created By Name

Your campaign title and Created By name are essential for identifying your campaign and the person behind it. You can easily modify both to reflect changes in your campaign’s focus or to refresh the details.

In the second section, Details, you'll see fields to edit:

  • Campaign Title: Modify the title of your campaign here

  • Created By: Change the name displayed as the campaign creator

  • Category: Categorize your campaign so it's a little easier to find when browsing our website

  • Donation to GiveSendGo: Use the dropdown to adjust the percentage of funds allocated to GiveSendGo.

Once you're done, click Finished to apply these changes.

Changing Your Campaign Story and Main Header Image or Video

The campaign story is where you connect with your supporters by sharing the heart behind your cause. You may want to update this to reflect new developments or provide more information.

Likewise, the main header image or video you upload when creating a campaign is the primary visual at the forefront of your campaign page. It’s often the first thing potential givers see, so it’s pretty important you choose something engaging. If you decide you want to change it, you can! Just follow these steps:

  • Follow the same steps as listed above to get to Campaign Edit

  • Hit Next twice so you're at the part three Media phase of the Update Details

  • Here, you can adjust the story behind your campaign, making sure it reflects your message and keeps supporters informed. Make sure you're up to speed with using our campaign story text editor.

  • To upload a new photo, hit the red Browse button. Select the file you want to replace your existing photo with. Alternatively, simply paste a link if you're looking to upload a video

  • Once you have, click Finished for the changes to be applied to your campaign

Image and Video Upload Guidelines

We recommend JPEG and PNG formats for photos. For the best display, upload an image with a 16:9 aspect ratio that is at least 800 pixels wide and 450 pixels tall. The maximum file size allowed is 5MB. If a file you want to upload is too large, you can resize it using free online tools like TinyPNG, Image Resizer, or Adobe Photoshop.

Videos cannot be uploaded directly to your Image Gallery. We currently only allow embedded links from the platforms we currently support: YouTube, Vimeo, and Rumble. When using Rumble, make sure to use the embedded iframe URL rather than the page link.

Keep It Fresh!

Your campaign is a dynamic tool. Don’t hesitate to revisit and adjust your campaign's key details as things evolve. Whether it's updating the title, the story, or the goal, keeping your campaign relevant is key to maintaining momentum and encouraging support.
