To receive funds raised from your GiveSendGo campaign, you need to add a recipient. This recipient will be prompted to verify their identity and provide their bank details. Please note that your campaign must be published in order to add a recipient.
Steps to Add a Recipient
After publishing your campaign, simply:
- Log into your GiveSendGo account if you haven't already
- Locate the campaign in your My Campaigns
- Click Add Recipient
- Select the recipient type
Recipient Types and Requirements
You can add either an individual or a business as a recipient for your campaign. Here are the different recipient types and their requirements:
Individual (Self)
If you're adding yourself as the recipient, you'll need to provide your identity and bank details for verification.
Individual (Someone Else)
If you're adding someone else, you'll need to enter their name and email. They will receive an email with further instructions on how to join the campaign as recipient, verify their identity, and connect their bank account.
Business/Organization
For businesses or organizations, you will need to enter:
The business name
Employer Identification Number (EIN), if applicable
The details of the legal representative
The legal representative will receive an email with instructions on how to provide their banking details. If you’re the legal representative, the email will guide you through the process. Legal representatives must be authorized to represent businesses and comply with financial regulations to ensure secure transactions.
Verification Requirements
All recipients on GiveSendGo must complete identity verification—this step is required to meet financial regulations. To successfully verify a recipient's identity, they must be 18 years of age or older and have:
- A bank account based in the same country as the campaign
- A government-issued photo ID that includes their date of birth
- A phone number
- A residential address
- PO Boxes are not accepted
- A valid tax ID
Heads up: This process typically takes up to 48 hours. Additional documentation may be requested in some cases. Once verification is complete, the Recipient Details section of your campaign dashboard will become Payouts. This is where you'll manage transfers, see completed payouts, and more.
