Whose Name Appears on a Fundraiser

Two names can appear publicly on a fundraiser page:

• The organizer — the person who creates the fundraiser. The name entered when the account was created is the name shown publicly.
• The recipient — the person who receives the funds. When the organizer names someone else as the recipient, that person's name appears once they accept the recipient invitation.

Both the organizer's and the recipient's names are displayed publicly. This is intentional, and it's part of how GiveSendGo stays transparent and trustworthy for givers.

Givers want to know who they're supporting before they give. Showing the organizer and recipient names openly helps givers give with confidence and keeps fundraisers credible. Keeping Your Fundraiser Out of Public Search

If your real concern is who can find your fundraiser, rather than the name shown on it, you can set your fundraiser to private. A private fundraiser:

• Does not appear in GiveSendGo search results
• Does not appear in category listings
• Can only be viewed by people who have the direct link
