How to Start a Campaign on GiveSendGo

Creating a Fundraiser

Whether you're raising funds for a personal need, someone you care about, or a cause close to your heart, creating a fundraiser on GiveSendGo is a meaningful way to share your story and invite others to support your mission.

Create Your Account

Click Start a GiveSendGo and complete the account creation flow. Make sure all the information you enter is accurate before saving your profile.

Recipient Country

Make sure the recipient's country is on our Countries Supported on GiveSendGo list. If you select the wrong country, you won't be able to use the fundraiser, but you can always create a new one with the correct country selected.

IdeaIf the recipient's country is not supported, you can designate a trusted individual in a supported country to receive the funds on their behalf and transfer them outside of GiveSendGo.

Fundraiser Goal

Choose your fundraising goal. You can display it on your fundraiser page as a total goal, a monthly goal, or keep it hidden entirely.

Commit to Giving Back

If you'd like, you can pledge a portion of the funds your fundraiser raises to help support GiveSendGo and our mission of sharing the hope of Jesus through crowdfunding. You can adjust your giving-back percentage at any time. Learn more about giving back to GiveSendGo in our article Supporting GiveSendGo.

Select a Category

Choose the category that best fits your fundraiser. Don't stress about getting it perfect, just pick the closest match. It won't affect your fundraiser's visibility or success, and you can always update it later if needed.

Alert
If your fundraiser is not actually for an electoral candidate or political office, do not select the Political category. Doing so will add unnecessary fields that may confuse donors and cause donations to be declined or automatically refunded.

If you are a candidate fundraising for an electoral fundraiser, see our article
Running a Political Candidate Campaign on GiveSendGo for important information about required donation fields and current platform limitations before selecting the Political category.

Tell Your Story

You can write your fundraiser story yourself or get a head start with MICA, GiveSendGo's AI assistant. MICA will help generate a title and story based on your situation. You can edit whatever it produces before moving on. Choose Non-AI Assisted if you'd prefer to write everything in your own words from the start.

Your story is the heart of your fundraiser. Share why you're raising funds, who it will help, and how donations will make a meaningful difference. Be clear, specific, and honest so people understand the impact of their support.

Add Media

A photo or video is required to publish your fundraiser: it will appear at the top of your page and is the first thing visitors see. You can upload additional images later. Videos are added by pasting a link; direct video uploads are not currently supported. For more, see Adding Images and Videos to Your Campaign.

Publish Your Fundraiser

Once you publish your fundraiser, it is live and can begin receiving donations. See Publishing and Unpublishing Your Fundraiser for details.

Designate Your Recipient

After publishing, add a recipient and designate who will receive the funds. This step is required before any transfers can be processed. See How to Add a Recipient to Receive Funds for a full walkthrough.
