How to Create Updates on Your GiveSendGo Campaign

Creating Updates to Your Campaign

Keeping your supporters informed is one of the most powerful ways to build momentum and strengthen your campaign. After all, they've chosen to invest in you and your idea, so you should invest in them too! Whether it’s big news or a small thank-you, updates help people feel part of the journey—and encourage them to keep giving or spread the word.

Why Updates Matter

Every update is a chance to:
  1. Show progress toward your fundraising goal
  2. Thank your supporters for their generosity
  3. Tell your story in a deeper way
  4. Explain how funds will be used
  5. Keep your campaign visible and active on the site and in supporter feeds
And the best part? Updates don’t need to be long or perfect. Just be honest, kind, and consistent.

Ideas for What to Share

Here are a few easy ways to connect with your community:

  • Celebrate milestones
Let people know when you’ve hit a fundraising goal or reached a big moment.

  • Express gratitude
A quick message of thanks helps supporters feel seen and appreciated.

  • Share something personal
Help supporters understand what you or your recipient are going through.

  • Post a photo or video
A snapshot or short video clip adds personality and helps people feel closer to your cause.

  • Highlight impact
Share how donations are already making a difference—or how they’ll be used going forward.

Idea
Tip: Use updates to build community. The more connected people feel, the more likely they are to give and share your campaign.
