How to Change the Displayed Recipient Name on Your Campaign

Important Notes Before You Begin

  • For Business Recipients: If you're adding a business as a recipient, select the type "Business" when adding them. The business name will display automatically. 
    • Need to convert an individual recipient to a business? Click the "Contact Us" button below for assistance.
  • For Campaign Organizers: If you're the campaign organizer, you can update your "Created By" name directly from the Campaign Edit section in your dashboard—no need to reach out to us!

  • Impersonation Policy: Impersonating individuals not directly connected to the fundraiser is prohibited. While we understand that you might be collecting funds on behalf of someone else, the displayed recipient name must accurately reflect someone directly involved with the campaign.

  1. Contact Our Support Team

    • Click the "Contact Us" button at the bottom of this article to get in touch.
    • Please reach out from the email address associated with your account so we can assist you more efficiently.
  2. Provide the Following Information

    • Campaign URL: This helps us locate your campaign quickly.
    • Reason for the Name Change: A brief explanation so we understand your request.
    • New Display Name: Let us know the new name you'd like to display.


Common Reasons for Changing a Recipient's Name:

  • Legal Name Change: Marriage, divorce, or court-ordered changes.
  • Safety Concerns: Situations involving harassment or domestic violence.
  • Professional Pseudonym: If you use a stage name or pen name professionally.
  • Representing an Online Entity: Such as social media influencers or online personalities.
