How to Format Your Campaign Story with GiveSendGo's Text Editor

Your campaign story is one of the most important parts of your GiveSendGo page. To help you craft an engaging and well-structured message, our built-in text editor offers a variety of formatting tools to help bring your story to life. Whether you're writing your campaign story or posting an update, this article covers how to get the most out of the editor.


Your story has a 10,000-character limit (including spaces). Use your words wisely—focus on clarity, emotion, and relevance.


Formatting Tools



Text Styles (1)

Use the Style dropdown to apply different preset text formats:

  • Normal: Standard body text

  • Quote: Highlight quotations or testimonials

  • Code: Show formatted code (for advanced users)

  • Heading 1–6: Add headings and subheadings to structure your story


Bold, Underline, and Clear Style (2–4)

  • Bold: Highlight key ideas or titles by making them stand out

  • Underline: Add emphasis with a line beneath your text

  • Remove Font Style: Reset to the default font settings


Color (5)

You can change both text color and background color. To apply color:

  • Click the Color icon in the toolbar

  • Choose either Text or Background

  • Select a color from the palette


Lists (6–7)

Create lists to break down steps or highlight key points:

  • Unordered List: Uses bullet points

  • Ordered List: Uses numbers for step-by-step instructions


Paragraph Alignment and Indentation (8)

Customize paragraph formatting using the Paragraph menu:

  • Align Left: Standard alignment

  • Center: Centered on the page

  • Align Right: Aligns text to the right margin

  • Justify: Aligns text evenly across the line

  • Outdent / Indent: Decrease or increase text indentation


Tables (9)

To include a table:

  • Click the Table icon

  • Choose the number of rows and columns

  • After inserting, you can edit cell content, remove rows/columns, or format the table


Links (10)

Want to link to a resource, article, or video?

  • Highlight the text you want to hyperlink

  • Click the Link button

  • Enter the URL

  • Choose whether the link opens in a new window
