How to Change the Recipient Name Shown on Your GiveSendGo Campaign

Need to update the recipient name shown on your GiveSendGo campaign? Whether you're switching to a professional name or simply don't want your identity to be disclosed on your campaign page, you can change the campaign funds will be received by name with the help of our support team. Here’s everything you need to know about the process before submitting your request.


WarningImpersonation Policy Reminder: Recipient names must accurately reflect the individual, business, or organization directly involved with the campaign. We cannot approve display names that misrepresent your relationship to the fundraiser, even if you're raising funds on someone else's behalf.


Before You Start

For Business Recipients:

If you're adding a business or organization as the recipient, be sure to select Business/Organization as the recipient type. This will automatically display the business name, so you won't need to request a change later.


For Campaign Organizers:

If you're the campaign owner and want to change the campaign created by name on the campaign, you can do this yourself. There's no need to reach out to us—just follow our guide on how to edit your campaign.


Requesting to Change the Campaign Funds Will Be Received By Name

To request the campaign funds will be received by name, please reach out to us by sending a message to support@givesendgo.com. Make sure to do so from the email address tied to your GiveSendGo account for faster support. Include this information in your request:

  • URL of the campaign you want the update applied to

  • Reason for requesting the change

  • New display name


Common Reasons for Updating the Campaign Funds Will Be Received By Name

Here are a few valid examples of why you may want to change a recipient's name:

  • Legal Name Change: Marriage, divorce, court documentation, or similar

  • Safety Concerns: Protecting your or someone else’s identity in sensitive situations

  • Professional Pseudonym: Using a stage name, pen name, or alternate identity

  • Representing a Digital Brand or Page: For campaigns run on behalf of a business, ministry, influencer, or organization


What Happens After You Submit Your Request?

Once we receive your request we will:

  • Review: Our support team will verify your request and documentation

  • Follow-Up As Needed: If anything’s missing, we’ll reach out

  • Update: Once approved, we’ll update the recipient name on your campaign
