How to Initiate a Transfer
Once
your fundraiser is verified, you can begin initiating transfers as your
funds become available. Before you get started, ensure that:
- You are the recipient.
Only fundraiser recipients can initiate a transfer. Fundraiser organizers cannot initiate transfers unless they are also the fundraiser recipient.
- Your fundraiser has completed verification. If you're still seeing the Transfers Not Available Yet message in the Transfers section of your Fundraiser Dashboard, your fundraiser hasn't been verified yet and transfers can't be initiated.
- Your funds are eligible for a transfer.
Your first transfer will become available 5 days after you receive your
first donation. After that, new donations are added to your available
balance on a 3-day rolling basis.
If these requirements are met, you’re ready to initiate a transfer. If you’d like a deeper breakdown of how transfers work, see How Transfers Work on GiveSendGo.
Initiate a Transfer
- Log into your GiveSendGo account
- Open your Fundraiser Dashboard
- Go to the Transfers section
- Decide on your preferred transfer type
Manual Transfers
Manual
transfers let you decide when to withdraw funds from your fundraiser.
By default, a manual transfer will pay out your full available balance.
If you'd like to withdraw only part of it, see Partial Transfers below.
To submit a manual transfer, click the Request Manual Payout button in the Transfers section of your fundraiser dashboard.
Once submitted, your transfer will begin processing and you’ll receive a
confirmation email. Funds typically arrive in your bank account within
2–3 business days.
If you don’t see the Request Manual Payout button,
it likely means your donations have not finished processing. Check back
once the processing window has passed. If the button still doesn’t
appear after that point, reach out to us via the Contact Us button and
we’ll take a closer look for you.
Partial Transfers
To withdraw only part of your available balance, submit a manual transfer and reach out to us via the Contact Us button. Include:
- Your fundraiser link
- The specific amount you'd like to withdraw
We'll process your desired amount rather than your full available balance.
Automatic Transfers
To set up automatically recurring transfers:
- Select Automated request
- Choose your transfer frequency:
- Weekly
- Biweekly
- Monthly
- Set your Start Date
- Click Save
As
long as you have funds in your available balance that meet the minimum
threshold, your funds will be automatically transferred according to
your chosen schedule. These vary by country, so check the minimum transfer amount for yours here.
